About RoomTested

I'm Nicholas, and RoomTested is my testing room. I cover smart home and desk gear from the UK — and when a product carries a rating, it's kit I actually bought, installed, and lived with, in a real room rather than a studio.

Every article ships under my name because I review, edit, and approve each one before it goes live. I use software for the boring parts — gathering and organising research, publishing, sharing posts to social media — never for the judgement calls: a rating only appears when I've tested the product myself, and research-built guides and comparisons are labelled as exactly that. The how we test page explains the split.

Prices shown are hand-checked estimates with a visible "price checked" date — stores change prices constantly, so treat them as a guide and the store page as the truth. When the site carries affiliate links, that's declared plainly on every page that has them and in the disclosure policy.
